Für mich, Deutsch ist nicht zu schwer, aber Finnisch! Jetzt, mein Problem ist, ich hatte ein Finnischbuch, aber wann ich habe Finnland ausgespart, ich hatte es nicht mit mir gebracht, und ich warte für mein neues Buch... Ich lerne jetzt auf Fotokopien, und hier!

I hope, it's not too difficult for you! I can write the English translation, too, if you don't understand. Which language do you think is more difficult to learn, German or Finnish? Finnish is supposed to be the hardest language in Europe - but I think, if I had to learn both of them as a foreign language, German would be more difficult for me. Finnish has lots of rules, but few exceptions, whereas German has few rules and lots of exceptions - many things you just have to learn by heart, der/die/das for example.

For me finnish is very difficult, but i'm a german, so i can't compare these two languages! finnish is totally different from german and i didn't have latin at school, so it's really very hard .. but i try! nothing's impossible...

Fortunately the pronounciation is very similar to hungarian so its not that hard for me. The grammar is another business tho

I'm so sad! I haven't been here these past few days because I feel like I want to spend all my online time in my webhome while it still lasts... It's so annoying! Just the other day I invited Maili to join GiMiX, and now they decided to close it Just wanted to tell y'all why I didn't show up here last week ... your discussions look interesting, but I just can't concentrate on learning Finnish now.
I can't believe it... that community means so incredibly much to me, it had such a great influence on me these past 4 years. I mean, I found my way to Metal in GiMiX, and the music and the people and the festivals mean so much to me ---> I would neither listen to COB nor learn Finnish if it weren't for GiMiX... None of my RL friends listens to metal, so basically being a metaller is something of an online thingy to me - a GiMiX thingy! Looks like I've got to apply for musical asylum at UM The whole Metal Circle of GiMiX needs an asylum. Might be an idea to come to UM, it's just we are a German speaking comm...

It's so sad....

Just the other day that story came to my mind. So much for Finnish being a language of long words
But there are some mistakes in it

It's Hottentottenstottertrottelmutterlattengitterwetterkotterbeutelrattenattentäterfangprämie.

After all, you Finns do have a's with those strange little dots on top of them. Also, I have heard a version in which the story/word is a little longer. The cage has a protection against bad weather (Wetter) and the Fangprämie is the reward for catching the escaped assassin (or was is the rat who escaped? )

I hope I'll soon find more time for learning Finnish...

Tenhi is great band, but lyrics really are meanless and confusing.
