All you need to know about Finnish language...

haha, nice tread:)
I'm from Estonia (virolainen, jup:p) so I don't have to know any more finnish I do, besides when people (finnish n' estonian) are drunk they seem to understand eachother very well, if tongue softens cuz of drinks languages are heard quite similar (and of course same words, for swearing and ordering drinks:p)

Gee, you Americans... o_O
In Europe it's pretty common to learn at least one foreign language at school, you know...

well, yea but i didnt expect u guys to be fluent in the language just from school. I mean look at alexi he speaks good english and he left in the ninth grade.

I would like this speech to be translated to finnish. Schools almost out so... um just translate this:

"Its been fun going at this school! NOT! I hate this school, and i always have. And you MOTHERFUCKERS who call yourself teachers should be shot and thrown down in a pit to be raped by fifteen rabid gorillas! This whole fucking building is so fucking rotten, as well as the staffs brains. I'm impressed that you have the IQ to even breathe! God damned retards, i hope you rot in this school, but that`s not enough... I cant imagine a punishment suited for you motherfuckers. Now im out of this school, and i will never miss this god forsaken shithole of doom. So, fuck you. Fuck you all."

98% of TV is in English, movies, music, video games, books... we don't just learn the language through school.

That is correct, yet incorrect. :) "Saatanaako otat?" does indeed mean "Do you take satan?" but I guess the phrase in question here is the Tuska t-shirt text "Saatanaako odotat?" which means "Are you waiting for satan?"
true, true.. but it says on the back of the t-shirt "Saatanaako tuijotat?" and Im not gonna even try to translate it, though its not that hard. hmm.. "are you staring at satan?" or maybe it would fit better if it was "what are you staring at? satan?!" dont ask me... :dopey:

"Onneksi saitte Alexander "PUMMI" Kuoppalan pois bändistänne!! :p"

Well, what does that mean? Alexander is mentioned, so....plz someone translate!

well from what i know now, Haista Vittu is a way of saying 'fuck you', but it's literal translation means 'smell cunt'.

From what i gathered in learing this moon language, saying 'saatana vittu perkele' is basicaly like an american saying a string of profanity together. :D But i could be missing something.

Now a finnish person might want to clarify what i missed here ;)

The "Saatanaako tuijotat?" shirt was 2004, this is 2005:

I have a chance to buy it, too..... but it looks rather boring :err:
As someone said on the previous page, it means "Are you waiting for Satan?" or maybe "Is it Satan that you're waiting for?"

"Luckily you got Alexander "BUM" Kuoppala away out of your band!!"
Either the person who said/wrote that didn't like Alexander, or I got the meaning wrong :err:
