Anathema tribute album

theres far better producers out there than can remix than these chancers, i dont think it would be very cool at all, just a pretentious mess. id go with stevens choice for venetian snares, someone who knows ;)
definitely you're right.
but just imagine if they could create the atmosphere they did on perdition city. then "empty" would be sooo wicked.

it would all be great anyway aye, as long as it didnt end up as another uninspiring metal/goth tribute thingy

i think, get all the artists that appeared on the original Peaceville Volume 4 to comeback and do the tribute, simple :D

Mogwai
Ozark Henry
Arid
Starsailor
Soulfly
Judas Priest
Rolling Stones
Deep Purlple
X!NK
some ska-band
or a remix by DJ Tiestö :headbang:

I have already heard a ska-version of Empty... :ill:

by the way Dunc, are you serious about this or just bored and curious?
Just wondering what you lot would be into really. Would be interesting to hear an album of cover versions. Though, like Ikeaboy said, a metal/goth tribute thingy would be uninspiring and boring.

merzbow doing empty. or pulled under.

i like the idea of mogwai going on violence and the gathering doing flying.
sigur ros doing are you there.
gilmour doing forgotten hopes :) :)
johnny cash would be good at fragile dreams if he wasn't RIP
michael gira on empty
neurosis doing the silent enigma or suicide veil
tom waits doing electricity
esoteric doing lovelorn rhapsody
