I have these ant traps.. they poison them in some way that's safe for animals and people. Just lay a couple out, and clean up the mess afterwards. If you can find something like that, try it.

Also if you can plug up all the holes where they're coming in, they'll find some other source of food outside and you don't even have to kill the colony.
