ATTN people that hated Daredevil movie

Yeah i like where all the newer comic movies are going with being a bit darker and less kid like. I wonder if the last batman movie is going to go along with the Knightfall arc for batman.

that would be awesome
what was the name of the guy that was being Batman while Bruce Wayne's back was broken?
is that character ever going to be in a Batman movie? that could be pretty kick-ass if done well

Well it can't turn out much worse then the first one anyway :p

I kinda don't get the "oh noez not another rebooozz" hate. If you don't want it, don't watch it.
Never been a huge superman fan, but the latest movie was quite ok. Spacey was a cool LL, the superman guy was a bit young.

I also thought that the newer HULK with Norton was awesome and a lot better then the other one. So that reboot was worth it imo.

about the new Superman ...

I'm sure it'll be cool. I just wish they hadn't recast Superman again. I thought that Brandon Routh guy was fucking perfect. He may have been just a little too young looking for the most part but holy shit, he was as big as CR and REALLY looked like him. Even his voice and mannerisms, especially as Clark Kent were spot on to CR

This new guy Henry Caville or whatever, he just doesn't look like Superman to me. They actually would have been better off going with the big werewolf guy from True Blood but ideally speaking they should have stuck with Brandon routh

Aside from that, I'll give the guy and the movie a chance. I actually liked the last one so I'm pretty sure this one will be that much better
i've seen those black-and-white superman movies, i've seen a handfull of the episodes of that black-and-white tv series, i've seen a handfull of episodes of that "in technicolor" cartoon series from when color film was first invented, i saw superman in that 60s-70s Justice League cartoon, i've seen all the Cristopher Reeves supeman movies, (and every other thing Christopher reeves had ever been in) i've seen Lois And Clark, i've seen Superman in the DCAU, i absolutely loved Smallville, and i know i'll get flamed for this, but Christopher Reeves' portrayal of Clark Kent was the Kent that i liked the least, and Routh looked too much like Reeves, it freaked me out, it felt like i was looking at a goddam clone, especially durring the Clark Kent scenes, Routh was an awesome, amazing actor that was able to perfectly copy something that i hated to begin with, and it ruined the movie for me, also the idea that it was a sequel to the second one but rebooting the third one just seemed like a weird concept coming out of left field, the whole "lois and superman having a child" thing looked like somesort of "superboy prequel" and the only thing i liked about the brandon routh movie was that one scene where the bullet bounced off of superman's eye, that was awesome

i enjoyed Dean Cain's Clark Kent in Lois and Clark, and i absolutely loved Tom Welling's Kent in Smallville

I also thought that the newer HULK with Norton was awesome and a lot better then the other one. So that reboot was worth it imo.

the Newer Hulk with Norton >>>>>>>>>>>>>> the first Hulk Movie, i especially liked the scene at the end where we see Tony Stark is talking to General Ross, where it ties into the Avengers Movie's universe

they kinda did that in the opening music montage of that Hulk Re-boot

Yep. And Norton´s Hulk wasn´t exactly a reboot. I mean, it was another director, actors and style, but they didn´t started the story all over again. How many times do we need to see that Peter Parker was a nerd that got bitten by a radioactive/genetic-mutated spider, that he let his uncle die, bla bla bla?

I kinda don't get the "oh noez not another rebooozz" hate. If you don't want it, don't watch it.

Problem is that as long they´re making crap movies using the license, we won´t see any good one. It´s not as if they were releasing two movies, a good one and a bad one, and you can choose which one you want to see.

for those that they are rebooting now they allready had the bad movie (imo) so I'll gladly take the chance to see a better one. Worked with Hulk for me, altho most critics thought it was worse then the older one.

And (at least for the spiderman rebbot) it doesn't look like they're doing the same movie again, since there's some other nemsis involved then in the first series. And leaving out the beginning also seems weird to me, so as long as it gets covered but doesnt take half of the movie it's good for me.

I don't know enough about Daredevil to know what they can do different with the reboot, but Im generally not that much interested in that one.
But I think in the first one the background story got covered also quite short, IIRC?

Yeah i like where all the newer comic movies are going with being a bit darker and less kid like.

did you know that superhero comics were originally aimed at adults?
superhero stories didn't start getting written for children untill Dr Frederic Wertham bitched about the superhero comics being innapropriate for children inside his now famous book "seduction of the innocent"
before that book there were dozens of different companies printing definitively adult stories about hundreds of masked-hero-gadgeteer-characters with those 1930s suits-with-matching-fedoras-and-trench-coats, gas-powered-grapnel-guns, topless women, decapitations, gore, demons, vampires, succubi, and lots of panels depicting the hero with some sort of unique-to-the-character-gun with the demon-esque-villian weilding some sort of giant sword, but then Frederic Wertham bitched about all this crap being "innapropriate for children", and all the parents freaked-the-fuck-out, and nobody paid attention to the fact that the innapropriate for children stories had been written for adults anyway (earliest handfull of apearance of Batman showed him casually killing humans and battling vampires, werewolves and the abominable snowman) and all of a sudden all these awesome gadgeteer characters got quickly phased out and replaced by the superpowered characters being printed by Marvel And DC today, the dozens of companies that had been printing adult-themed-action-stories lost all their money (cuz public panic made them loose their customers) and they all started merging into each other untill they became the 2 companies that we now call Marvel Comics and DC Comics, then Time-Warner bought DC, then Disney bought Marvel

actually, this reboot is telling the origin story a 2nd time, this is the 3rd movie out of sony's 6-picture deal with Marvel, so after sony makes the 3rd movie of this 2nd trilogy, the rights to a spiderman movie go to Disney, so they can show spiderman living in the same "movie universe" as the Avengers, we'll end up with a 7th spiderman movie that will show the spider-bite-origin story for a 3rd time

if you make enough movies, one of them will eventually be good, right?

(earliest handfull of apearance of Batman showed him casually killing humans and battling vampires, werewolves and the abominable snowman)

Are there scans of that? I´ve read Batman 1 and it was as childish as possible. There was this robot, and Batman throws a batrang on a giant on/off switch on the robot´s back

I never really liked HQs, but I love "graphic novels". Maybe they could make a great movie about Thanos.

i thought re-booting a "bad" movie was the whole freaking reason for doing a "re-boot", why would you re-boot a "good" movie, instead of just making an actual sequel?

the nemisis in this new movie is a man-sized reptile that's accidently created when the guy with amputated arm tries to make it grow back the way that some lizards can grow back amputated limbs, the man with the amputated arm actually appears in the first trillogy, played by a different actor, this man-sized lizard creature was supposed to appear in the 3rd spiderman movie, but was replaced by sandman at the last possible minute
I don't know enough about Daredevil to know what they can do different with the reboot, i loved the daredevil moviebut Im generally not that much interested in that one.i'm pissed at this one, the daredevil movie didn't really need a re-boot, the movie ended in a way where everyone was expecting a sequel, and daredevil is just going to get re-booted again when the character rights go back to Disney, so that Disney can have every single fucking hero character Marvel makes all living in the same goddam "movie universe"
But I think in the first one the background story got covered also quite short, IIRC?

not really
the origin story part really did take up a kinda huge part of the movie
and then it was kind of woven into the other story
blind boy puts himself through law school and starts wearing the daredevil suit because of the murder of his father
and then at the end it turns out Kingpin was responsible for Matt's father getting killed

Batman number 1 isn't the first appearance of Batman
Batman's first apearance is a whole year earlier than that in Detective Comics #27

Yep. Two years ago I had to be in a hospital bed for quite some time and my friends lent me dozens of graphic novels. It was my favourite reading. So many tales that could work on the big screen. "The Thanos Quest" was among the best.

there are a lot of other characters with similar names
just making sure which one you were talking about

what?? 16 hours a day????
I hope she's getting paid a lot ;)
Glad she likes what she does!!!

in america, people get paid extra-per-hour for every hour past 40 in a single week, and she's working 16 hours a day X 6 days a week is 96 hours a week - 40 is 56 seperate hours each week where she's getting overtime pay,
although working more than 40 hours a week on a movie set, she might be getting paid-per-movie,
either way she's getting paid a huge ass amount of money, maybe not as much as the movie's director, but she's definately living pretty comfortably, unless she's trying to "live beyond her means"

the Hulk movie with Norton was pretty cool, Norton and Roth are 2 of my favorite actors, so I had to like it :D
Daredevil, Electra and Catwoman sucked soooo much, it was unbelievable, if they really reboot it, I hope they
change alot!
