^that's awesome.
I paid a visit to the city's best imported beer shop last night and bought a bottles of Young's Double Chocolate Stout and Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. Haven't tried them yet. A Fin du Monde as well.
I also picked up, and drank, an Affligem Double, a Schlerkerla Rauschbier (German smoked ale) which I've had before and love both. Also had a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which I didn't find particularly impressive. I've never really drank any beers from North America before, they are almost impossible to find here (other than Millers/Bud etc which obviously doesn't count). But this shop has a reasonable selection so I will have to check some more out. If anyone has any 'must-drink' recommendations they would be appreciated.
I also spent yesterday afternoon at the local microbrewery, Little Creatures, a place I frequent quite often. Many of their beers are average but the Pale Ale is good and the Amber Ale (Rogers) is quality.
