Beer

So, Duvel eh?..Ive heard the name and seen it around many times just never gave it a chance...I'll have to pick this one up soon it looks promising, thanks Jeremy.

Duvel is pretty good. It has a huge head

Had Stone's 2011 Imperial Russian Stout tonight. Good god. One bottle and I'm sauced. Tomorrow I'm having a mini beer tasting with my girlfriend and a couple of friends...we're comparing Dogfish Head Squall vs. Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA (Squall is the unfiltered, bottle conditioned version of 90 Minute) and Rodenbach Classic vs Zootzuur Flemish Ale...two IPAs and two sours...should be delicious

it took me a long time to get into sours, but they're now one of my favorite styles. my girlfriend and I are going to Stone's sour fest at the end of the month...can't wait

Bank error in my favor today at the liquor store. Got all of this for $32.36 with tax. Should have been $55.00 plus tax. The lady didn't seem bewildered by the total at all so I didn't bat an eye & just walked out. This is the first time I have found Stone anything around here. Looking forward to all of this.

Oh & Cody, try Goose Island 312 if you like Blue Moon. It's very similar & better IMO.

Dude, you got hooked the fuck up...Be careful, last time you had drank delerium you passed out on a hotel floor in some very funny positions :)...And I'll keep an eye out for the Goose Island 312, thanks for the heads up man. Enjoy!

P.S. Have you had the Duvel before? Let me know your opinion!

As long as I have gotten some sleep I'll be alright. I have actually not had Duvel before. It's what I cracked open first tonight & it's excellent. Still think I prefer the Delerium Tremens though.

Sixpoint Sweet Action american blonde/cream ale

good shit.

"Pours a rusty orange with a quickly dissipating head of the bubbly goods. Nose is sweet and buttery with lots of malt. Taste is smooth, a clean wash of malted cream, slightly sweet like cream soda with just a hint of bitterness in the finish. Simple and refreshing, though the sweetness is a little too much after a few"

werd.

I had both the Delirium and the Duvel last night! Amazing stuff, I must say. You should try out Brooklyn's Local 1. It really gives off those Chimay vibes.

And Allagash is excellent, do drink it.

Couple of my friends and I just bought our first case of good beer [had all of em in 6-packs though], the Victory variety pack. Pretty darned excited!

Thoughts from the night...we ended up not comparing Squall with 90 Minute IPA on account of not being able to locate any 90 Minute IPA  That being said, Squall is a fantastic, very delicious IPA. I would love to try it on tap or cask. Mmmm. We also had The Bruery's Trade Winds which is a Belgian style ale with spices. I've had it before...it's good.

The Rodenbach I was slightly disappointed with. It had a very vinegary taste to it. The Zoetzuur was good though. It tasted like sour green apples
