Beer

I don't know what the hell has happened to me, but I've turned into a total lightweight lately. I've been having a hard time drinking normal stouts, pale ales, and even amber ales. It's like my stomach and mouth have grown sick of drinking these kinds of beers. All I really seem to be able to keep down are pilsners and lagers. Shit sucks.

Sorry to hear, Mike. I was raised on Belgian blondes and ales. Pilsners and Lagers like Labbat Blue and Molson Canadian are like water to me.

I think all those fucking Natty Boh's at MDF ruined me. I'm sure I'll get my beer taste back eventually.

BTW I had a Moosehead Lager the other day. It was really good and seemed to have a lot of flavor for such a simple lager.

Having a Brother Thelonious. Pretty disappointed, considering it's from the makers of Pranqster.

I've never checked out Brother Thelonious...it's never enticed me. Pranqster, Old Rasputin and Old Stock Ale are all absolutely fantastic though.

bough this last night:

will try it later in the week since I left it at my girlfriend's house. D'oh!

It seems that some Stone products are finally starting to show up around here. I just found sixers of their Pale Ale, IPA, & Ruination IPA. They also had bombers of Arrogant Bastard. I picked up a sixer of the Ruination & 2 bombers of the Arrogant Bastard. I really enjoyed their regular IPA I had last week for the first time. Looking forward to trying these two.

I worship Stone.

FYI, for those of you who visit Maine and see "Lobster Ale" advertised, please avoid. It's not that good at all.

We just got Stone around here in January, and after the massive amounts of hype I was pretty let down. The bombers are affordable as far as those things go, but the sixers are on the high side, and they don't offer much aside from very hop-forward beers.

I think hop-forward beers are their niche though. I cracked open 1 Ruination IPA tonight & 1 bomber of Arrogant Bastad. I'm let down with the Ruination. I prefer the regular IPA I had last week. The Ruination IMO is not as good as Hop Stoopid, & I can get Hop Stoopid cheaper. The sixer of Ruination was $15.00 & the regular Stone IPA is $10.00. The Arrogant Bastard on the other hand was delicious & @ $3.99 a bomber I will be picking this up on a regular basis.

:zombie: Ruination is great. The only Imperial IPA's i can think of that are better are 3 Floyds Dreadnaught and Port Brewing Mongo.

I like it, just like Hop Stoopid better, and I think those are the only beer's I have had that are over 100 IBU's. I wish I could find 3 Floyds anything. I hear amazing things about all their beers.
