Best album of 2006 thus far.

Ministry - Rio Grande Blood

Every song is a kick in the goddamn head. Although every song is political, it's very inspired. That's the shit I look for in music.

Edit: Also, when you have Al Jourgensen, Paul Raven, and Tommy Victor all working on the same record, it's awesome by default.

MAMMATUS

psychodelic rock from Santa Cruz :kickass:

Its a tie between Bal-Sagoth's Chtonic Chronicles and Dissection's Reinkaos for me so far. Well, that and Green Carnation's Acoustic Verses...

I don't see how anyone that's not new to melodeath could think Reinkaos is anything but mediocre. For me it's Enslaved - Ruun, with Drudkh - Blood in Our Wells, Keep of Kalessin - Armada, and Summoning - Oathbound, hot on it's heels.

only the 3 last posters know what they're talking about.

Perhaps the album Neal mentionned but I have no clue what it is

So far it's Synchestra by Devin Townsend. Ihsahn's and Summoning's new ones are growing on me rapidly and I have Enslaved's new one in the mail though.

because they're all gods of metal... they know all...

why can't people just like what they like... why do people have to "know what they're talking about" because they like bands that you like. can't i know what i'm talking about even if i like different stuff than others?
