New Ulver, Paradise Lost, Porcupine Tree, and Radiohead aren't exactly metal, but they all rule as well.

New Ulver is good.

New Radiohead blows my mind. Of course post-rock and post-punk bands have been putting out good records this year. I mean GA GA GA GA GA,Our Love To Admire and In Rainbows all in one year by three different good bands. Fucking crazy.

gonna go through these lists and listen to some of the stuff I missed; I had forgotten about To The Nameless Dead until now, I must buy promptly!

They seem up your alley. I'd get the Electric Wizard before the Black Funeral, as it is more immediately rewarding. To be honest I haven't given Waters of Weeping enough time to digest before giving a proper assessment.

2007 was a killer year for ALL FORMS OF MUSIC. Mostly non-metal was the best. The new Deathspell Omega and Peste Noire both grow on me a ton.

I only think I've heard at the most 20 albums from this year & I didn't like any of them too much with one big exception. I mostly just got more popular stuff & stayed away from more underground stuff.
