Ok.. this must be the most unoriginal poll ever.. but I've never seen it on this board, and I just want to know once and for all, what is Symphony X's masterpiece?

I'm gonna remain silent on this one. Personally I think that every album is a masterpiece. They all have their own great songs that I think are uncomparable.

I've been doubting between "The Divine Wings of Tragedy" and "V", but finally TDWOT won the prize!
The Accolade, The Divine Wings of Tragedy, Candlelight Fantasia (just for that 3 songs I voted this album :Spin: ), The Eyes of Medusa, Sea of Lies, Of Sins and Shadows, Out of the Ashes, Pharaoh.... Just perfect! Very difficult... cause I think "V" is a perfect album too, but well... in terms of favorite songs, TDWOT wins

Great thread, I've always wondered which albums are preferred by the fans
Odyssey ever so slightly beats V, but that is just my current preference (i tend to change favourites). DWOT is slightly behind V due to production and pharoah lol. Then twlight mainly because of lack of music (basically 7 real songs) and for some reasons the songs kick ass live, but on the album they dont really come alive.

My list goes like this :
no1 - V - becous Communion and the Oracle is my favorite song !
and i dont know, best melodies best... damn man it f* changed my world !!!
no 2 - Twilight & Odyssey - this was hard ! twilight is short as the DOKTOR said , but Orion is an amazing shit !! also Looking & Lady .
Odyssey is much too aggressive in my opinion
no 3 - Divine
it's a shame for Accolade and Fantassia
and for this i cry my heart out !!! that middle part when all the instruments play different melodys thats where i found god man !!!

Hmmm, it seems like I am the only one that really digs Twillight here...
I think both divine and Five and Odyssey share second place.
The reason why twillight gets the highest score is because it gets me EVERY time, from Smoke and Mirrors to Lady of the snow.
And i LOVE the drum sounds on the album too, imo it has (almost) no weaknesses + all the tracks are great....

I voted for V, because it UST BARELY beat Divine Wings...
Candelight Fantasia is my favorite Symphony X song, followed closely by the epics. But V, all around, is an absolute PERFECT album. Communion and the Oracle has to be THE BEST soft song ever other than Candelight Fantasia...

I don`t understand you guys!!! Most part of you agrees about the changes in the symphony X style in the new album! But what I see here is V at first place! matchless!!!

Divine Wings is my favorite all around album, Of Sins and Shadows is the perfect song for my tastes. Then comes V, then Oddysey, then Twilight, then Damnation.

I've been a fan late 99/early 2000 (somewhere in there) and I've never once doubted that Divine Wings of Tragedy is by far my favorite.

"V" is the most incredible album I've ever heard in my life.
But I think they're all great because they're all different as collective pieces of work.
RE: come on ... Symphony X is much more than only headbanging .........be patient! They know that. Wait till the first CD is re-done. I'm sure it's going to be awesome, and I can't wait. There are some very good songs on there.
BTW...I can't help thinking about all the new Forum members who just recently became SymX fans and don't have all the CDs, maybe only one or maybe just saw them in concert and have none yet. Aren't they in for amazing surprises when they start buying them all????? It's very exciting. We got them all when they all were imports except for "V" ! Now they're all available anywhere, is that right?

The Divine Wings for me. An album which contains The Divine Wings, The Accolade, Sea of Lies and Of Sins and Shadows - it HAVE to be the best!

I think 'The divine wings of tragedy' and 'The Odyssey' are just both great. I voted for 'The Odyssey' anyway. Of course all their other cd's are good but those 2 are the best.
