Im not into use of the term filler, having some writing myself I just see it as some stuff is better than others... anyhow... I believe I liked The Wall when it came out but by that time I was three recordings deep into Floyd so the first I heard Darkside always made the biggest impression, still The Wall contains some novel tunes. Pink Floyd always came out toward the end of partys, almost a good bet that anyone still present at the end of a party night (amounst my crowd) crashed out to the sounds of one of Floyds four (Darkside-The Wall) albums. For whatever reason I dont revisit Floyd, most likely because most of thier novel tunes have been beat to death on FM radio and still heard regularly and thats enough for me.
Tommy was already the "old school" rock sound by the time I really started getting into music so it never stuck me much but I believe The Overature is a good listen and Pinball has its moments. Stuff like Baba O'Reilly (sp?) and Wont get fooled again were more to my taste.

No! Jarman... Fried can kiss my ass, we were not the ones that made Floyd artists by being awed by Darkside... Floyd is responsible for that by being artists and offering it to us...
we were but stunned listeners taking the trip From various posts regarding "philosophers" (dont think I spelled that right either) that have put their ideas in writting and have been quoted or expressed in these various posts... I find them to be either way to full of themselves or trying to make a thought impact by reasoning or useing logic backwards... as if to say "no the sky is not blue, blue is the color of the sky because we so deemed it"... "ya OK, so big fucking deal and what the fuck is the difference?" "bad is only wrong because we so deemed it" Sorry but to me it seems they waste alot of time for the soul purpose of being contrary and as I said make a impact toward "changing the world" 180*, not unlike media. I dont know... I've just not been impressed with anybody I've heard refered to or quoted. Perhaps they were those border line genious/insanity cases.
