anyone near yours still got their christmas decorations up...theres loads of people here...isnt it supposed to be 12 days after christmas or something?

yeah, well take em down this week i guess, then leave the tree out to rot in the back garden for another year

There was this dude on telly seriously bashing Danes for throwing out christmas trees, showing all kinds of things you could do with it, stuff like making baskets and crap

You could make a big basket out of it to throw it in there.

my mum launches everything in the bin on the 27th. She makes a point of not being sentimental about these things.

We didn't have a tree or decorations at all this year, I'm proud of my mum

actually the stuff you decorate your tree with symbolise your sins
and then mostly the 6th of january you should burn the tree --> burn away those sins
here lot of youth movements come to pick up these trees and have a big campfire (singing country roads and everything)

urr i suppose that plastic thing will be in our living room for the rest of the year. actually the last 5 years there's always been a decorated christmas tree around

In my town, there are some lazy bastards who leave Christmas lights on their houses all year. Occasionally I'll see a wreath hanging from someone's porch in the spring.

i went to notre dame today and they still had their christmas tree in front of it and i thought...what the fuck?

Today was this big national "support Asia" day in Denmark, all kinds of initiatives allover, tv-show all day, one thing was getting your christmas tree cut up and removed for 2 Euros! But the tsunami relief effort got hit by a hurricane

i think the people that i live with took down the tree. when i go back there im gonna put it back up though
