COB's Fastest Double-Bass?

no wtf! blast beats consist of alternating usually snare and hi-hat, or it can be a ride cymbal or even the bass. the bass can also come in on or off the beat for emphasis, as well as the ride or hi hat, whichever isn't being used.

To put it into layman's terms,

Intro to Into the Shadows = Blastbeat.
Downfall
, Touch Like an Angel of Death = Double-bass.

Blastbeats don't have that fast doublebass. Some good drummers don't even use a doublepedal for blastbeats. Some use doublepedal to make it easier. The fastest blastbeats are on Touch Like Angel Of Death, Warheart and Hatebreeder.

Fastest doublebass: Deadnight Warrior, Downfall, Children Of Bodom. Trashed, Lost & Strungout is also pretty fast, and so is In Your Face (32nd notes doubles near the end). Actually Silent Night, Bodom Night is not that fast, its just a triplet so it basically sounds faster than it is.

And don't you guys ever read Scythes Of Bodom? According to Jaska, one song sounds like "old school Thrash with the fastest double bass" Jaska ever played.

blast beats are done with a hi-hat, snare and bass drum you really dont need double bass pedal at all. george kollias of nile only uses on foot for blast beats, and he's fucking amazing. so its not how fast his blast beats are its how fast his double bass is.

It's always the same when a drum-related thread is started. People just start talking and posting videos about their favorite drummers. Stay on topic, for once!

The devil has three bass drums, but only two legs.

most definitely is! :OMG: triple bass...can't imagine what that would sound like!
yet i like the thought of it

he doesn't play them all at once.he just has like two different drumkit set-ups built together onstage.the one with two bassdrums and the one with just one,and he uses one side for some songs and the other for the other songs.
