Ok, this will be a little ranty, but oh well. :)

Would you want to have your kid that is in elementry school harrassed by strangers and given one of these comics at school? (I know that Dan must not be the only parent here (And no, I am not a parent, but I still can imagine how pissed I would be))

These comics are literally being handed or already handed to elementry school children by PETA and they are doing many other horrible things (More info at www.petakillsanimals.com):

Now I don't think that is right, but what do I know.....

That is fucking horrible. If I ever find out my kid get's given one of them, Someone WILL DIE!!!!!! That is just wrong on so many levels. Who the fuck are they to try and change parent's ways of raising their child, let alone mentally scarring children like that!!!

FOR SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe PETA will be less pissed, if we decided to use their members for meat and clothing, instead of the animals.

Candelight donates part of its sales? God dammit, now I can't buy anything from them, I don't want my money to be given to PETA....

Agreed!

That's a bummer!

God-damn hippie assed veggie eating rabbit fucking mother fuckers!

I am half kidding, I didn't know they endorced Peta, But I will probably still purchase the very good albums Candlelight puts out. I will be pissed that I have to in-directly support those cunts though.

I probably have to buy them from record stores or e-bay as to not directly suport Candlelight (Till they learn better and change their stance)...

Straight from the horses mouth a PETA member/supporter says:

PETA Member/Supporter said:
I don't know what everyone is so worked up about, the animals didn't suffer - they were euthanized! They are better off dead than living a life of slavery.
Petownership is slaverey.

I got it from a blog...

This was reffering to a case where to PETA members killed around 30 dogs/cats then dumped their bodies from a van into a dumpster (As the police where watching). Though, the drug that euthanizes animals is a controled substance and niether member was a vet, so I wonder how they killed the animals? :justodd:

I don't have anything against animal rights activists, if they are peaceful about it.
But there's such a huge difference between saying that the animal should be treated and killed in a more humane fashion, as opposed to telling everyone that they are evil murderers and going insane over these issues.

To be fair, going insane over stuff is AR and the good stuff is animal wellfare (Not all animal wellfare, just as there is probably a non-bad AR group out there that has no impact)...

Some animal rights groups aren't really insane.
A lot of them suggest more humane alternatives, like free-range meat. I've seen quite a few of them on the subway, although I usually just ignore them and throw out their leaflets
Personally, I prefer free range and organic meat anyway. Not from any moral standpoints, but mostly because the animals are fed better. That results in more nutrients per serving, the meat is healthier, and it really tastes a lot better/fresher/cleaner.

I prefer free-range as well, but every AR group I know about is always anti-meat, anti-animal products (Vegan), and anti-pet, but then I guess I never noticed the others...

I never really cared about what they had to say, anyway. I usually ignore them, or egg them on a little.

My G/F if a vegitarian, and she drives me crazy with the fucking fake pastrami, fake nhot dogs, fake ham and sausage. What I say is, Buy the real thing already!!!!! If you really desire the food that much that you would settle for fake pastrami you need real meat!!!!!!!!!!! As for the comics, I was absolutley outraged by those. Fuck those AR cunts!

Sure, less inhumane treatment would be great, but ya know, they are all just going to be eaten anyway, I say fuck em!

LOL

No, if I don't actually watch them die, I am ok. Watching the way they are treated does suck, and I am for treating them a bit better. I will NEVER stop eating Steak, Prime Rib, Hamburgers, Chicken Parm, KFC and real fucking Pastrami no matter hard those fucking ar and vegans try or how cute the animals are.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pretty much agree. Although I do like the fake meat as well. It's less greasy, especially with bacon.
But as a New Yorker, I don't think I'm even allowed to eat fake pastrami.
