Vocals kill it. I bought the song/demo EP plague of butterflies because of some hype and enjoyed it musically. Novembers Doom is one of my favorite metal bands.

I do not care much about live music luckily, but Agalloch really suck live. I was on youtube.com and did not expect them to actually be much of a live band, but they just really sucked live. Not sure if this is a controversial opinion.

Manilla Road haven't really had "good" production on any of their recent albums, but it's never "horrendous" either.

I really enjoyed the production on Spiral Castle.

Their productions have always been murky and it's a trademark and suits the band but the drums definitely could've been beefed up a bit.Still the album rules nonetheless.
