i remember getting that one from one of those BMG or columbia house deals from back in the day and left it sitting in my backlog for yeeeears. I'll give it another shot in the next few days.

Reinventing the Steel is a wicked fun listen. Parts of it sound like they went into the studio piss drunk (and Phil on some prime heroin) and got it all done in one take but that's part of the charm.

Agreed. I contend that with better production people would view that as the best full length album. As it stands now, my favorite full length is Effigy followed by Breeding.

everything they've done is solid. They're one of the few death metal bands who haven't released a single bad album.
