I don't see how that's controversial at all. I do kind of like Blizzard Beasts, however. The drumming sounds pretty bad (almost sounds like they recorded it after they recorded everything else) and the production is weird, but there is some kind of oddball genius going on in that album. The riffs are pretty sick. Probably their weirdest album though.

I always remembered DFM being regarded as pretty mediocre and sophomore. Guess not. I do really love it though.

Blizzard Beasts... just a fucking mess. Production-wise, playing-wise, etc. The drums are the biggest factor for me on that album.
