Fail. Slayer sold out around Diabolus in Musica. They went with a trendier sound. Only recently have they even attempted going back to their old sound, but failing miserably. I guess Hell already froze over.

Basically, this. People need to learn that just because nu metal is shit doesn't mean that shit is nu metal. Aside from the rapping in Scrum (which other bands like Exodus have done anyways) it's still a thrash album.

Diabolus in Musica is one of the worst listening experiences of my life...Tried and tried to like it. Those were some creepy days ugh. I used to like Divine Intervention until I saw the light too...Everything after South of Heaven is boring.

Everything they released up to RiB is excellent thrash.

Show No Mercy gets pretty goofy and amateur at points, and Reign in Blood is far too inconsistent to be called excellent. Slayer has no albums better than very good.
