I wouldn't call them symphonic. I'd call them folk, but one of the bands that dwells less on the folk aspects and more on the black metal.

The Olden Domain and Quintessence are superb.

Too campy for me.

I never could get into Vesperian Sorrow. I don't know why, I owned Regenesis Creation and it just didn't do anything for me.

I think Ruun is better too, there's something a little too dignified about Axioma. it's partly the production (is NOTHING allowed to have an edge and punch you in the face anymore? when did extreme metal become easy to listen to?),

but it's also the curse of many modern bands to want to tick the "extreme"/heavy box as well as the "melodic"/musical box.

a prime example is mnemic. they'd kick my face off and i'd love it if they didn't throw in the bonosphere choruses.

Axioma is a great album, I don't know what you guys are smoking. Ruun was pretty bad though.
