why would someone have to work and get paid $2 per hour so that an american who lives half a world away can get gas for his car? dont tell me that after these attacks in, say, iraq the community will be "free" and have the right of self-determination.
Like I said in earlier post USA have it's geopolitical interests. USA even supports some "friendly" dictators and that's pretty disgusting. I'm pretty sure that attacks in Iraq didn't have anything to do with freeing Iraqi people but the by-product of getting rid of Saddam I'm happy for. Only time will tell what is going to happen but without USA influence and Saddam out of power the land would be in complete chaos.

Just to sum my thoughts: Two democratic countries are never in war with each other. They do business and business is good. The ultimate tool and guarantee of peace.

A-HA! there you go, har. now we are on the same wavelength! i have nothing to say here, i agree.

im happy that saddam is gone, too. but im afraid, i'll get a yankee colony on the other side of the border. and as they get fatter and richer, who knows who will be the next they'll "free"? two months ago, it was syria...so in a couple of years, it could be my own beloved country! *shivers*

I don't think that's that even a possibility. Both countries are in NATO for starters. What do you think of Turkey possibly joining the EU one day?
