Darkthrone...

[Soilent Goat]

A while back I picked up Transylvanian Hunger..it took me a while to get into that album but I really like it now. It's pure raw black metal aggression..no strings attached. I've found a copy of A Blaze In The Northern Sky and I'm wondering for those of you who have it should I pick this one up as well? And if you could give a little detail on why it is or isn't good? Thanks..

IMO A Blaze In The Northern Sky is better then Transylvanian Hunger. Dunno why, just better songs.

But Under A Funeral Moon is my personal Darkthrone favourite.

I'd definitely go with Blaze... It's my favourite Darkthrone release. Everything about the album is superior, IMO. Better song writing, vocals, lyrics, etc...

Yeah, "A Blaze In The Northern Sky" is the best Dakthrone album in my opinion. Pick it up!

I personally love 'Soulside Journey.' They were all thrashy black death and awesome. Probably had something to do with Dissection existing...
