Do most katatonia fans like Opeth?

I got into opeth and katatonia at the same time. Even though I've been somewhat disappointed in opeth's recent efforts, their first four albums are masterpieces and i still dig em.

I am ... I suppose a bit different... I got into Opeth because I heard Katatonia were friends with them... Katatonia is definitly my favorite... but Opeth is wonderful.

They are A LOT different.. I like them both very much but definitely Katatonia more.. just more my style.. but Katatonia kicks ass.

I got into Opeth when someone pointed out they had the same vocalist as on BMD, and that they were a good band. Got MAYH, as that had just come out, and loved it. Their first 3 albums are amazing, I don't particularly care for the stuff since then, though Deliverance is not bad (the others aren't bad either, they just don't move me like the first 3 do)

I love 'em both. Katatonia is of course my favorite no. 1.

I also listened to Katatonia first. When I bought BMD and read that Micke did the vocals for the album, I of course had to find out what kind of music his own band plays. So I bought Still Life and was sold.
