Slipknots my favorite band, so I obviously prefere them over DT. What do you want me to suck since your superior?

I'm a numetal fan to a certain extent, I'm no real numetal fan, but I'm no metalhead.
I even dress different than the majority of both trends. Sport clothes and trendy clothes with short hair is me, but should that matter? I listen to metal like I would with nmetal. If the song is good, I'll like it, simple as that. I couldnt give two fucks if a band earns more than bill gates either.

I've known a few in my time, always talking about suicide and how noone likes them because they look different.. well actually this may just be 'goths', but the majority of goths like nu metal anyway. some of my friends are nu-metal fans and at the same time some of the nicest and most intelligent people I´ve ever met. to say that nu metal-fans, or any other "genre", is more or less annoying than any other is just prejudiced. there are idiots in all sub-cultures.

but I can imagine that things are different here compared to where you live. no offence, but I sometimes get the impression that most of the American people are morons with an abnormal need for attention. :Spin:

saying that "the majority of goths like nu metal anyway" would probably get you beaten up here in Sweden.
for the most part goths here (and no, Manson-fans are not goths) still actually have some connection to goth while in the US it seems like someone puts on a black fishnet and that´s it... :Smug:

I have a problem with Nu-metal fans who also happen to work for customs and excise. Those bastards seem to ignore the laws of sea piracy and think what I do is 'crazy' and 'wrong'...well, it's not me who is crazy, despite my eye-patch and constant screams of 'Yaaaaah! There's a demon in my oyster, I'm crazy!', but them who are crazy. I will lock them all in a little box. But it will have holes in it and I'll feed them all tuna so they don't die. I'm not a monster.

Nu-metal people will surprise you. Usually, they listen to it because they're not fully into metal yet and need to evolve into the good stuff. But most nu-metal people I've known will eventually come up to me and say "Dark Tranquillity's pretty damn good" when I let them hear it.

I don't mind people bashing some bands I listen to, but the only people I have a problem with are the ones that think everything sucks because it's not on the radio (or vice versa, will hate stuff because more then 50 people listen to it), or those kids that only listen to like 1-2 songs off an album and act like a band's most die-hard fan. Those aren't nu-metal kids, though. Those are called posers.
