...a book of all his guitar solos transcribed by him?

I know there's a few solos tabbed by him in the tablature section...are those the only ones, or has he officially tabbed all his solos?

There's a pretty good chance that there are some released in Japan. (They've got tab books for just about everything!) There might be ways to order them. Whether they're authorized by Michael or not is another story...

Yes there is a "best of" Symphony X score book released in Japan, but its HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. It looks like they just inserted midi into Finale and pressed "auto tab" without fixing the fingerings. According to them, Romeo never taps

Just figure the shit out for yourself, Macy is right that its way more rewarding that way anyway, and if you're really familiar with the players style I bet your tab will be more accurate than any book.

You can make alot of mistakes figuring solo's out yourself, but it is rewarding
For egsample, I have started to learn Of Sins & Shaddows. At first I thought the opening string-skipping-tapping bit was a cminor 7 sweep with the taps at the end of the string runs, not every string. Its the same notes as the way MJR does it, but with a different feel to it. But I listened to it again and found that it was string-skipping-tapping.

Tab Engrish.

Of course you'll do mistakes if you tab it yourself but that's how you learn and that's also what divides a serious player from a not so serious. You think Mike sat down with tabs!? There weren't even tabs in those days and he managed pretty good...
