Agalloch are awesome!! Pale folklore is one of the best albums I've heard in a very long time!! I need to buy The Mantle as soon as possible!! I wouldn't really put them into the doom genre though. I think they ride the planes of doom and black metal. Therefore I would call them Grey Metal!!

The Hallways of Enchanted Ebony is genius!!! You should listen to "Ghost" and "Silver and Black" by Avernus. I guarantee that you will like it.

Are you into/ familiar with any doom? It's kinda hard to reference otherwise, I could describe doom bands in relation to other doom bands, but for other genres, um....

That should be a simple request, Problem is the difference between 1st generation Doom, 2nd Generation Doom, And Stoner Doom. Bands like Sabbath & Candlemass, Trouble, Cathedral are pretty good 1st generation stuff, My Dying Bride, Morgion, Avernus etc... Are awesome 2nd gen bands, And bands like newer Celestial Season and Electric Wizard, And Abdullah are pretty cool stoner Doom. But theres alot of genre's in between and it boils down to preference

November's Doom and Avernus would be a great introduction to doom metal. If ya want even slower stuff then Esoteric, Thergothon and Unholy are a good listen.
