Dragonforce! What's the big deal?

As some of you heard me mention in the past,I have over 2,000 CD's in my collection and climbing so the newest Dragonforce was going to be an interesting addition.

I was curious because of the ongoing debate..and all the people here who think they suck.

Now I'm NOT gonna say that Dragonforce "changed my life".. NO Way. But I can't say that it's the worst thing either. Yeah it's trendy right now but it's fast,shreds,and it's in your face power metal and not for the weak at heart non-metal people...like some I know..

The lead work is fast..but really just that..nothing to get a boner over..like a good seasoned shredder with a little bit of heart and soul..but still...shreds!

All in all it's not the best but not the worst..it's METAL.

I paid $7.99 for it used so maybe that's why I sort of like this..you know..for $7.99 THAT's pretty good!

I actually checked them out a few days ago because i wanted to see something about a disagreement i had with a memebr. the drum and fast riffs were really good, solos of the chart really. vocals..well not too good. they're not boring and i wouldn't mind them at all as a break from Death or something..or while driving to a wedding!

I like them and all as a guitarist I find them great, but I dislike the vocals on almost every song.

Also I disagree that it's "not for the weak at heart". There is no subtlety to the guitar work. It's straightforward melodies sped up. Sometimes it doesn't even sound very metal.

but really, i like dragonforce. i think the reason so many metalheads hate them is because they are trendy. they are becoming sort of mainstream (for a power metal band at least) and metalheads reaction is MAINSTREM SELLOUTS THEY SUCK BLAH BLAH BLAH.

i mean there are a lot of fags that only listen to minstream music, hear dragonforce (which represents power metal for the mainstream these days) and say "oh i like power metal".

i, personally, like them. the songwriting could be better though.
