Isa is plain rubbish. That's the "Soundtrack to my Escape" of their downfall.

Wow - it's rare we're so very far apart on something.

@Zod - I can definitely understand how one track you consider terrible can ruin your perception of an album. If you hate the title track that much, then your strategy of revisiting the album minus that track is a good one. If you still don't care for it, then so be it, but I like that idea anyway.

Don't know -- I've seen bits of the live DVD and it is EXCELLENT. I would love to see this band live. *praying that they make HC2*

If that was the only band announced that I like, I'd still buy my ticket that day.

Ruun's been getting regular spins on my CD player, but I still don't think the album has fully 'clicked' with me yet. Api-Vat and Fusion Of Sense And Earth rule, but I haven't become as obsessed with the album as I was expecting.

I have the Live Retaliation DVD, but it seems to be fucked up, as the audio goes in and out seemingly randomly. It wasn't like that when I first got it, and I've tried it on multiple players, so I don't know what the fuck happened to it.

As far as recent Enslaved goes, I enjoyed Below The Lights, but I never checked out Isa because even the fans of Below The Lights said it was pretty weak, so then I never checked out Ruun either. What would be a good song to check out for either disc?

A brief summary of Enslaved's discography:

Yggdrasill = Raw, killer

Hordanes Land = Kickass, excellent shit

Vikingligr Veldi = AWESOME, their best work

Frost = Kicks severe amounts of butt

Eld = Even better than Frost

Blodhemn = Excellent, almost as good as Frost

Mardraum = Solid stuff, but their older stuff is slightly better

Monumension = Weird and proggy, but it still kicks ass, even though it's a tad weaker than Mardraum

Below The Lights = Don't like this at all, by far their worst. Too much weird disonnant shit going on

Isa = A million steps up from BTL. It's impossible not to worship tracks such as Neogenesis, Secrets Of The Flesh, Ascension and the title track.

RUUN = Epic as feck, awesome shit, probably their best since Blodhemn. I remember when JayK came out of the closet and said he didn' like this at all. Fag
