I hate what football does to people. A town close to mine was literally destroyed because England lost to france... WTF! I dont want England to win because our natives dont deserve it... we are bastards.

i'm actually pretty satisfied it has. less fuss in the streets, less people talking about it as if it were the end of the world. i was out tonight when whatever took place took place, and i certainly don't regret it.

As much as I like tough players like Heskey, that guy is just inept with handling the ball. Look at Ibrahimovich who seems to be even bigger and is technically lightyears above Heskey. Gerrard has sucked throughout the tournament.
They have an alright team though. I just don't want them to do well.

I like the way Denmark plays. Unfortunately it seems like their team doesn't have anyone better to put alongside Thomasson other than Ebbe Sand...who is just too old. Otherwise their team is really good and will hopefully give us a -92 re-run.

The important point is that it's not 'half the inhabitants' of your contry. It's a mere minority.
I hope England loses. They have a shitty goalie and a couple not so good players. Not that I like Portugal that much either, but I'd like to see the home team win (up until they're against Denmark anyway).

OK, now that Germany is out, there is one problem less for me: I wouldn't have known if I should support Germany or Sweden this Saturday. So now I hope Sweden will make it against the Netherlands (sorry, GTranquillity...) and maybe even get to the final and become European champion, this would be great!
