i just noticed this on BWBK's site, sorry if someone already posted this:

"As previously reported, OPETH’s exclusive show at London's Shepherd Bush Empire on September 25th, is to be filmed for DVD release.

Billed as An Evening with Opeth, this special show has been arranged specifically to be filmed for Opeth's first ever official DVD release. For this one and only time, Opeth fans will have the opportunity to see the band perform their massive experimental mellow album Damnation in its entirety. This 2 hour extravaganza will also feature a set of songs taken from their Deliverance and Blackwater Park albums.

The full set list for the event is as follows:

Damnation' set (mostly acoustic) - ‘Intro’, ‘Windowpane’, ‘In My Time Of Need’, ‘Death Whispered A Lullaby’, ‘Closure’, ‘Hope Leaves’, ‘To Rid The Disease’, ‘Ending Credits’, ‘Weakness’, ‘Harvest’,

Deliverance/Blackwater Park set (fully live) - ‘The Leper Affinity’ ‘Master Apprentices’, ‘Deliverance’, ‘The Drapery Falls’, ‘A Fair Judgement’,

Due for release in November, the DVD is planned as a 2 disc set, and will feature the full live show, as well as documentary footage of the making of Deliverance and Damnation, and exclusive interviews with the band.

Tickets are priced £12 and are available from www.gigsandtours.com or 0871 2200 260."

Yeah, I don't really like the look of it either. They're all the songs you'd expect them to play...no suprised like Blackwater Park or anything. And no Bleak either! The only song that I'm looking forward to is Harvest, sadly...

Thanks for posting the details. Sounds like an incredible evening!!!! Master's Apprencice too..? AWESOME!!!

I can't understand anyone who would call this "lame" in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM! Some fucking people just can't EVER be pleased I guess. Feel sorry for you in a way. Everyones been wanting a DVD for so long and now ones coming close ....and still bitching???? Jeez.
I'm positive the live performance, PLUS, the recording footage is gonna make this a fucking creamfest...!!!

ps- Hope Leaves, why don't you save yourself 12 pounds if you're not looking forward to seeing 14 of the 15 songs. Sounds like you shouldn't bother...

Because it will be amazing, that's why. I've never seen Opeth live before, and I can't wait. However, considering the collection of songs that Opeth have in their catalogue, that setlist isn't exactly comprised of their best, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited and all, and I can't wait, but I'd be much more excited if they were playing Advent, Demon of the Fall, When or one of their many other amazing songs, or a few suprises, such as Blackwater Park or The Moor.

Damnation is cool and all, but live its only really enjoyable if you are actually there. I really think watching the whole album on dvd would be pretty fucking boring (and I love damnation, and saw them live with porcupine tree when they played it live, so im not just talking out of my ass)

I would have much rather seen them just play like 2 damnation songs and some more older (heavier) stuff.

I agree. I'll buy this DVD and I'll probably like it, but it would be 165489246483 times better if they had songs from their older albums.

Yea some people can't be satisfied. I really don't care what DVD has as long as it comes out. I just want it :tickled:

Well there are reasons why its only material from Bwp, D1, D2... maybe it was already explained in this thread, didnt read every comment. But Mikael said why its limited.
