This is the Extol appreciation thread LOL! Actually just tell if you are an Extol fan, tell your favorite song and tell if you have seen them in concert and if it was cool. I am definately a fan, they are my favorite band, Time Stands Still is my favorite song and I have not had the chance to see them in concert.

I think they're pretty cool. Structure of Souls is my fav song (great vocals). I saw 'em live before I knew they existed when they opened up for Opeth

Extol rules. I saw them last June and they put on a great show. Most of the material they played however was from Synergy, so I was a little bummed about that. My favorite songs by them are Undeceived and Grace for Succession

anyways, extol is amazing. they were the band that got me into extreme metal. my favorite song is undecieved which is ofcourse off undecieved. i have also seen them live and i got a couple of them to sign my synergy cover (which i bought at the show)

"Christian metal" is bullshit. They're using metal as another medium to try and convert people. I guess the Christians weren't getting enough new members/money, so they had to infect metal too.

I look beyond the religions of band members or if the band's preach religion. If i band's music is good then that's all that matters to me. So yes that means i like Extol. And yes i am Athiest.

In the 4 or so years I've been a fan of Extol I haven't once felt "preached to" by them. I like Extol. I don't care about the Christian lyrics, since the music is good. I don't know what my favorite song is, but I like Undeceived better than Synergy. I have never seen them live.

give me a break, i listen to metal over the crap on the radio because the focus is more on the music and less on everything else. i am a christian, but i listen to vital remains, i listen to the crown, i listen to mayhem, i listen to whatever. my opinion is that of most christians in metal, if youre interested in what i believe youll ask. this broad generalization of every christian in the world being represented by the catholic church of the middle ages or even idiots like jerry falwell is ridiculous and needs to stop. believe me that pisses me off as much as any of you on here.
with that said, extol are an excellent group of musicians who can outplay probably everybody who posted in this thread, most certainly including me. if you dont like the music you dont like the music, but being turned off because theyre christians to me is more closedminded than you are declaring us to be.josh.
