Favourite Drummer

Tomas Corn from Lykathea Aflame is pretty high up there for me, his work on Elvenefris is just so "varied" and interesting compared to alot of death metal drumming. It is almost as if the band told him "Okay, you're going to sit here and play a drum solo while we record the rest of the song."

Johan Langell (ex-Pain of Salvation) is another favorite, he may not be the most flashy all of the time, but he is very effective in movin' the songs right along and when the time is right he does shine, particularly in songs like Her Voices, Nihil Morari, and The Perfect Element.

Tomas Haake (Meshuggah)
Chris Adler (Lamb Of God)
Mikko Siren (Apocalyptica)
Chris Pennie (The Dillinger Escape Plan)
George Kollias (Nile)
Pete Sandoval (Morbid Angel)
Derek Roddy (ex-Nile, Hate Eternal)
Pavel Lokhnin (Perimeter)
Inferno (Behemoth)

I read that Dark Funeral kicked out drummer Modin who was an excellent drummer, and then bragged about the new guy they brought in. I was skeptical at first, but then I saw a video of the new guy and he is insanely good :kickass:
