it takes place in Hildesheim. that's the url: http://www.meraluna.de/default.asp you can see their some weird looking people. There was one girl, black hair, pale white coloured face, black lipstick, vampire teeth and a white transparent veil bevore her eyes, and allsoiled in red colour trying to look loke blood:lol:  it was a bit scary, but really silly too!
Anyway, the only good bands were The Gathering and Zeraphine! And Zeraphine played as opener for only 20 minutes and that at 11 a.m.!! The atmosphere was too serious, not so much party and that, so i was a bit pissed, above all cause i lost my ticket (which cost 50 €) right before the entrance. And i had to buy another one there for 60€
 !

Then it rained the whole saturday and it was more like wandering through a bad smelling swamp!

Maybe that all was the reason why it sucked for me. But there were also acts which were disappointed, like Sisters of Mercy, never so sucha boring gig, really! And when Ville Valo entered the stage as Headliner and sang so badly we packed everything and drove back home!

Do you wanna go there Crack? ;) :D

cheers

Haha, you're not much of an advertaiser, are you? I could go just for the sake of it but only if I happened to be around at the right time, like I was at frankfurt, tho I really felt like an outsider sitting in the bar - surrounded by those vampires - with my tennis shoes, therapy? t-shirt and backpack :D

Oih, can't wait till summer. If I happen to wander at the right places at the right time I might visit that meeting eos told about, get pissed and throw up on a vampire or a gaylord, or that weirdo dressed up as a granny :D *MALE*

then again I could just visit some honestly good rock-festival and have lotsa fun, eh. What's the best month touring europe regardin good fests? July?

well, i think july and august are good months for festivals, at least here! dunno much about european festival though! There are some interesting alternative rock festivals here too.

sorry it took so long!

O.k. The Bizzare festival takes place on 29. – 31. August 2003 in Weeze (www.bizarre.de), Rock am Ring on 6th -8th June, Hurrican Festival (www.hurricane.de) on 21/22 Juni in Scheeßel (it's somewhere in north germany)

All festivals did not yet announce any bands, except Rock am Ring (Metallica, Linkin Park, Marylin Manson, Iron Maiden so far) http://www.rockamring.de/main.html

sorry, for the website are all in german

Thanks, mate! There's enough options to choose if I happen to be around there. Dunno which month I have my vacation, but changes are I could visit one of those fests, if I don't end up spending my whole time in greece or italy, that is :)

about cave:

the single isn't nick behind piano singing a song, there are some rock guitars and blixa (i guess it's blixa) singing more than papapa.

i just said like 'with bad seeds', because i have too much the second last album in my head, if i think of it, no more shall we part as well had like the 15 feet single and stuff, so a bit more *harsh* stuff. and i like that, cause i'm these days digging more in his old music again.

in belgium the single got good response, i only heard it two times, wasn't bad, but not really my favorite yet, we'll see what happens when i hear the album :)

I think that Rock am Ring is only cool is you like the stuff from the charts (talking about the german not the finnish charts ;) )
I would say Bang Your Head, With Full Force , Wacken Open Air and of course Summer Breeze
Tho I don't know about Wacken.. I heard about some shitty things last year and there are really too many people. Summer Breeze is really cool. Two stages but never two bands playing on the same stage, great bands, not too expensive (ticet, food, drinks...). The only not very cool thing last year was that the camping area was pretty far away. There were shuttle busses but mostly pretty full. This year they want to put it much nearer to the festival area. :)
This year I'll probably only go to the Sumer Breeze :)

I still don't think anything can reach those good Dynamo fests... Especially from '98-'00, they were great. They brought all sorts of bands. Death, black thrash, power, goth, hardcore, doom.... Anything. It was really ace... :(
