when would be the 2003 one?

I think this year is gonna be the sixth time for tuska. And it's usually been held in the middle of july, so my guess would be 11. -13. or 18. - 20. of july...

I doubt I'm going there, too few good bands for my tastes, plus there's one of the best (if not THE best...) fin festival been held at the same time so I probly head that way. I bet there's still some one going there, eh? :D

Oh, and that Tuska is been held in the middle of Helsinki.

just found out about tuska:

Any kind of dressing-up is encouraged as long as the safety of your wear is taken into consideration. When rushing about in the front row you may harm a fellow celebrant with your nail bracelet. At the gate of the festival area the crew will check your outfit and remove everything considered dangerous, eg. bracelets made of nails. Use common sense in your dressing-up.

mmmyeah, but ilosaari is so far away...
i dunno. i guess my friend and his friends showed up mostly there too, but i'll see if i want to go

sigh... summer.

about cave:

the single isn't nick behind piano singing a song, there are some rock guitars and blixa (i guess it's blixa) singing more than papapa.

i just said like 'with bad seeds', because i have too much the second last album in my head, if i think of it, no more shall we part as well had like the 15 feet single and stuff, so a bit more *harsh* stuff. and i like that, cause i'm these days digging more in his old music again.

in belgium the single got good response, i only heard it two times, wasn't bad, but not really my favorite yet, we'll see what happens when i hear the album :)

I heard that Bring it on (?) -single yesterday, too. Sounded pretty darn good to me, but you know, it was only once so I gotta hear that more to say anything else about it. There's a slim chance the album would be out this friday :hotjump: I like older Cave, too. But I really didn't mind the more quiet and beautiful stuff on those two latest albums, either. Anyways, as long as that Nocturama is well written album I don't care, just give it to me allready, damn it!

Oh, and talkin about Cave, here's pretty nice letter from him to MTV in '96: http://www.nick-cave.com/mtv/mtv.shtml

yeah! of course i don't mind the softer stuff, it's where it started. just differs from day to day. with cave i often don't know if i should love or hate him, he's quite a sinner (eh this sounds stupid)

did you see the lyrics on the nick cave site as well? the last song lasts about 18 minutes, they're broadcasting the video next week here in belgium :) cave: 'the most chocking moment was when i saw my head coming out of jim's arse', hope to get that one on tape!

okis i surely will, there's a belgian magazine laying on my lap now with an interview, and i now really need to read it

Sounds great :D

I believe that Baby I'm on fire (or something) -video is coming with the dvd-edition of Nocturama. I doubt I'll see MTV playing that one too often, eh :)

probably :)
perhaps moon tv will? (if you can take that channel)
i'll try to win the dvd now! (http://www.humo.be -- wedstrijden)
(dutch though, but with your impressive knowledge of swedish and german you probably can fill it out anyway ;))

not that i would have a dvd player.

I can't see moon tv, but my mom can. So maybe if they start showing that, I'll crash at my moms for a weekend to catch that :D that is, if it doesn't come with the dvd...

My impressive knowledge of swedish and _german_ :guh: if you knew better you wouldn't say that   If I really really had to, and tried really really hard, then maybe I'd survive a day in Stockholm with my swedish skills without dying of hunger. You know, ordering at McDonalds and stuff. :D

Yeh, got it on friday :D Sounds good, excellent at times. It ain't as good as the previous (not just yet atleast), reminds me of Boatman's Call quite a lot, actually...

oh and I bought the dvd-edition, quite an interesting experience the 15min musicvideo :D

these two sentences are not compatible :bah: i adore everything cave's done (from tupelo to no more shall we part) apart from this album. i hope i dont find that kind of connection when i hear it

I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like they're identical or anything, just the overall mood of few songs. I gotta listen more to it before I can say anything else. I got a bit bored of boatman's call a couple of years ago, haven't listened to it since expect for a song or two. I should spin it again...
