Finnish guys v. come in to this thread

Im really amazed that scandinavian countries has a lot of great metal bands, im mean one after another, i personally like more the Swedish scene, i mean there must be something, because there are so much talent and originality there.

Scandinavian countries have a healthy attitude about artists and musicians. They know it is better to let creativity flow constructively than always try to beat it down like the puritan Christian goobers do in the USA. Much better to give young wild guys the freedom to be in a Black Metal band creating music than to oppress them and turn them into a bunch of nitwits jumping up and down in the street with automatic weapons.

Yeah that´s true!!
Here in Mexico, playing guitar and start a band, is the majority of times seen as a waste of time, money, and just "big star illusion" instead of a cultural or creative development, mixed with the situation at the moment (Economics, politics, deliquency, etc.), lots of teenager are repressed soon to "forget that shit and get your ass to school" no matter if you are a virtuoso, or if your band has potential, seen that a lot of times.

^^ And for most people that's probably best too, given the fact you'll probably dont get anywhere with music as far as a career is concerned. Its good to be honest to yourself and admit only a very small portion 'make it'(which in this scene probably still means you're a god on stage but a nerd living in your parent's basement)..... Theres a time to play & time to work.

Yeah, but playing is more like a hobby, more than a dream for most people here, people live with thier feets in the ground, because you have to work really hard to get things, or food and goods, there are more things to concern, than to thing that a nuclear blast guy will come ever to a gig.

My point was that this thing (as a cultural movement, or musical education, talent impulsing) are not considered good option for extra-ordinary activity(for example a kid with piano classes in the afternoon before his homework), an investment or stuff, like in other countries that you can get guitar classes for free in your home, and there a big apperture to musical development.

and no, is not my case, i play for fun, and work in the mornings, nerds here are mustly known for playing dungeons and dragons, and walk the street viewing the world as a big fantasy road with 400 ft. monsters, and imagine that cars are big magical bugs....
