Fireface 400 vs Profire 2626

Hello !

I currently own PreSonus Firestudio Project. Am looking for better A/D/A. So, I could:

1. buy Fireface 400
2. buy Profire 2626
3. Save money and buy a Fireface 800

Does the Fireface 400 sound about 2x as good as Profire 2626 (as the price suggests)?

What's the real difference between the Fireface 400 and 800 (mainly A/D/A)

Comments?? Suggestions??

FF400=2pre 1 adat
FF800=4pre 2 adat

That just it

If you only looking for an decent AD converter, look for an used RME multiface (look at audiofanzine petite annonces)

Quel est ton avis niveau qualité sonore entre la gamme fireface et la profire2626 ?

Le prix à rien avoir c'est sûr ^^ mais plusieurs avis me laisse ceptique.

Niveau converto RME est superieur, niveau preamp c'est à la meme chose.
La question est de savoir si tu as besoin d'une compatibilité avec PT?
Apres avis perso la difference de prix entre les deux n'est pas justifié

The FF400 has slightly nicer preamps, while the FF800 has more hardware knobs. Gotta keep that in account.

I just got a Saffire Pro 40 and it sounds just as good as the RME I just sold.

Bah perso la compatibilité avec Protools ne m'intérese pas trop

Après est-ce que la différence niveau convertisseur est si énorme que ça ?

Car je t'avoue que ça me frais bien ch*** de débourser 400 à 800 euros de plus pour une différence minime
