First!

I'll be getting my CD and T-shirts now, since the bank called me and lifted the Fraud Alert on that purchase after I confirmed that yes, I did indeed order Algebra books, a soccer ball air pump, and metal swag from Austria in a 10 minute period.

There was a label called SOMBERMUSIC who re-released Windir's 1184 but i think this was maaaaaany years ago, i never saw 1184 here...Yeah its pretty strange, here in south the folk/black scene is growing, there is a site who have some black/pagan metal cd's like Kampfar or Taake but nothing from vintersorg sadly :/ Itunes is an option, i have an account there but well..i need an international card or something like that right? and other thing, i want to pay for a physical copy, do the entire "CD RITUAL"

1) open the cd box and smell the lyrics book
2) pick the cd and see yourself in the cd image :p *checking for any damage too*
3)read the lyrics while listening the songs <3

Cds are beautiful, i would love to have the full vintersorg cds here and see the lyrics and the artwork..damn :bah::bah::bah:

I also could find any metal guy with vintersorg's cds and try to buy from him but it would be used cds and i think a metal guy with vintersorg cds dont want to sell them haha:p
I also could go back to Finland to buy some cds  pay 1500 dollars in plane tickes plus 200 dollars for the cds hahaha

Haha well you should've taken advantage when you were in Finland, that's for sure. Indeed, it's always nice to get the CD, and it's a pity that it wasn't released as an LP; I guess it's not really necessary.

However, next release should be only on LP! :p

Oh, oh hahahahahahahaha  hahahahahaaha  .

Think of it this way:
If you ordered the album first, before downloading the leak, then the only real victim is yourself. You already paid, but because of your impatience, your spoiling the surprise with a version of lower quality.

Really though, despite it being much less traditional, getting a leaked copy is okay in my book as long as you buy the album first and the audio quality is close to the real thing.

Hm, I wouldn't be too sure about that. Leech first and (maybe) buy later is the way I usually go, not the other way around. Can't imagine the amount of bands I would have never have gotten into if it weren't for piracy.

Agreed!!

ok try to pay 150,00 EUR in a vintersorg album, if your country have labels selling his albums. Thats the major problem for me, i dont have any means to buy his albums..i dont even see his albums here so what do i do? i refuse myself to listen any vintersorg material ?

I agree with you, if i have the chance i probably would buy all vintersorg discography but here this means pay at least US$ 500,00 ... ridiculous isnt? and i dont have means to make an international card too...

And what's about eBay? Perhaps you could by the album in United States shops.

About it being rude? Well, I'm pretty damn sure everyone of us on these forums would never think twice about flat-out stealing a Vintersorg album. We are so few, and so loyal, that Andreas and Mattias shouldn't have to worry about us not paying for his music.

Just my two cents.

agreed!
if every vintersorg fan would buy so many of his release as we of the forum do, i think andreas would be rich!!!!
i mean, that's a lot of albums! and i've all original (except pain parade :cry)....so really, i don't feel so much guilty or unrespectful speaking of the album since my payment is on the way to napalm.
piracy exists, it's silly to pretend it doesn't exist. it's a problem that every band of this world must face, and it doens't matter how protected copies are, someone will find a way to leak them. so i wouldn't be that worried if a loyal fan would take a preview of my album if he has already bought it, or is going to.

but again...this my opinion...

and above all, no one gets worried or scandalized by videos on you tube.
people use you tube and doens't feel guilty.
i think is the same thing. you cannot download the music in mp3 but the concept doesn't change, you're stealing music again and you're listening it for free.

and how many underground bands would be still underground and unknown if the web didn't exist?
i think it's a good chance for everyone, if only people knew how to manage this tool and was a little bit more grateful to those people who provides wonderful music!

edit: i was forgetting to tell you this, yesterday speaking with one dear friend, who knows my endless love for vintersorg's music:

me: i've listened to the new vintersorg :D
alessandro: so...how is it? between the epic and the legendary?
me: in practice!

Why not buy from Napalmrecords? That's not 150 euros... I have never seen a Vintersorg album for sale in my country, only Borknagar

Anyway I am listening to 30 second samples of Jordpuls of Amazon.com... Sounds exciting. Andreas singing seems to be of good quality.

yeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! :tickled:

Hi Valentina,

Thank you for your fast payment. Your order is going
to be shipped out today via post to you.

Best Regards,
Daniel

Yeah, the international shipping can't be so expensive. And shit, how do kids in Brazil ever get good metal? I thought Brazil was like a haven for amazing metal fans!

Well, as i said, standart metal are normal here, like iron maiden or metallica, but nothing from black metal/folk metal, kids in brazil prefer the shit music like this: thats the fever here nowadays...

But there are some indie online shops selling good shit like this:
http://www.hollehammer.com/

But nothing from vintersorg :/ The problem for me with ordering directly with Napalm is that i don't have any means to make an international card or paypal now..im not working anymore and i dont have too much money to spend, things in napalm are in EUR and 1 EUR is almost "3 reais" + shipping.
And its funny here because Brazil have some good extreme metal bands like KRISIUN or TORTURE SQUAD, but the funny fact is the 90% of the brazilians dont know their own bands, they only care with that shit called 'samba' or 'pagode' i never saw krisiun in the tv or something like this, NEVER..brazilians dont know Krisiun..strange isnt? they only make success outside this country

That brazilian stuff is pretty bad... As I am a bitter and quiet type I do not approve of this. (But a small part of me may.. the few second party flip out part) so I do not entirely condemn it.

Yes, it's finally here! Got an SMS at work, that there was a package waiting for me. Man I could not wait to get out of there ( even more than usual :p ).
Now I'm sitting at home, adoring the bunch of new music I got (Vintersorg - Jordpuls, Hollenthon - Domus Mundi, With Vilest Of Worms To Dwell, Opus Magnum (digipak), Tyrants And Wraiths.
Also looking at the new V patch and shirt, and wonder who thought of the sizing of it? Not very long, but damn wide! Ha ha, I'll definitely wear it none the less, but I wonder how it will fare in time...

Sigh... and again we agree :p My fav with Hollenthon is most definitly "With Vilest of Worms to Dwell".
But unfourtuntatly - I did not order the Vintersorg t-shirt from Napalm. Don't know why really. I might pick it up from a Swedish online store in the near future though....

:bah:
i'm gonna wear it in any case! i will do some "nice" knots here and there and tadaaaan it will fit perfectly!

Ok, I can definitely see why everyone (almost) is raving about Klippor Och Skär! Amazing track! And the album as a whole... Damn, there is just so much of it, ha ha! Will certainly take a whole lot of listens to it to get it completely dissected, but for; WOW! Much more of an immediate hit than Solens Rötter in my humble opinion (yes, I dare defy acronyms, use the bloody language fff!) ( ;) )

Yeah, I love Hollenthon too! I've got With Vilest and Opus Magnum, been a fan since the beginning of the band.

Actually that's two of us, the shirt was really… meh; it didn't catch my attention or anything. Even if I like simple shirts, I just didn't feel like buying it. I also got the patch which looks awesome, I'll probably put this and the Borky one (which came with Universal) on my awesome gabardine.

I actually got the shirt specifically because it's so simple I'd feel comfortable wearing it anywhere. Call me grumpy, but metal shirts that scream "Look! I'm EVIL!" or "Fuck You I won't Do What You Tell Me" really don't appeal to me anymore. So just the name in an ornate and pretty font? Doesn't even look like a 'band shirt', and that's the appeal to me.

I couldn't agree with you more on this one.
A logo and perhaps a small symbol or something like that. But that's about it for my taste. And don't get me started on all t-shirts I've seen that I actually liked for it's simplicity and then turned it around and seen the GIGANTIC picture of 4-5 ugly guys from the band posing. :yuk:

I agree. Jordpuls almost instantly hit me, while Solens Rötter took a while to digest. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing in my book. TFB took even longer and I just totally love that album for its crazyness. Anyway, for the moment I'm really happy with Jordpuls. Awesome chorusses, not only in Klippor och skär!! I'm having the rest of the week off, so that'll give me some more time to spend with the album.
