Shape of Despair (Angels of Distress) seems a bit happy to be funeral! Lots of keyboards, and the production is phenomenally clean - at least on that release.

I have Tyranny's Bleak Vistae sitting around somewhere still sealed - perhaps I'll give it a listen tonight.

Have to say, my fave FD albums right now are Evoken's Quietus and Pantheist's O Solitude.

I really don't listen to Evoken that much for some reason. I like their stuff, but when Ireach for funeral doom, I always seem to pull out Skepticism, Thergothon, or Until Death Overtakes Me, at least recently.

I have all three Evoken albums, so perhaps I should give 'em a listen again. While we're on the subject, I didn't realize how desired Evoken's first two albms are. I've seen those thigs go for around $40. I bought the second one for $8.50, and traded for the first one (which is the band release, not the label release) for Halo's "Body of Light".

Can't be bothered to go through the whole thread, but I've seen Morgion, Skepticism, Shape Of Despair and Until Death Overtakes Me being mentioned. So that's a good start.
Anyone mentioned Fall Of The Grey-Winged One or Monolithe so far?

Monolithe has been mentioned. Not a huge fan of them, tbh. They were OK.

Until Death Overtake e simply rules. I've been meaning to get their latest: Interludium II

MB is great. Never heard Necare.

Monolithe's second album will be released in April. I'm curious, I quite liked "Monolithe I". I got Necare's "Ruin" two days ago, and I just love it. If you're into old Anathema, Mourning Beloveth, Paradise Lost etc., you'll surely like it.
