Game of Thrones

Episode 2 was stated to be the weakest of the first six. Just wait till the tourney, which will probably be episode 4.
Ser Gregor is one of the characters I'm worried about. He's supposed to basically have anime proportions and be more or less entirely feral, so...if they do it right, it'll be awesome, but if they under-do it it will be quite disappointing. But yeah, six episodes before making a real conclusion about the quality of the show.

Have you seen how he looks? They got a monster 7 foot bodybuilder guy to play him.

The guy playing Gregor:

Cannot wait to see him straight up decapitate a horse.

It was exactly the way I envisioned it; without any audible concern for what he did. I don't imagine any conviction in the line, because I don't think the Hound attributes any significance to what he did. Conviction isn't warranted for a person who doesn't care in the first place.

I understand what you are saying. The actor playing the Hound just didn't do it, and hasn't done anything yet to appear or act "Houndish".

So far the only bit of casting I am actually angry about is Loras. He's supposed to be the prettiest man in the damned kingdom... and the actor isn't all that great looking. They should have cast the guy the got to play Lancel (episode 3 first appearance) to be Loras.

Agreed on that.

I didn't like Episode 3. It's become clear to me that this is a show based on the books, not a show adaptation of the books. Should have been obvious, I guess, but...idk. Anyhow, I'm too into the books to really be able to get into the show. I'll probably keep watching it, since I have nothing better to do, but I'll consider my opinion on it irrelevant because I was unable to enjoy it from the get-go.

You at least liked the Syrio scene right? that shit had me giggling! Best change the show has made was giving him a fro, that guy is just perfect.

Well, in the book he was bald and a bit older (I always thought he came off as in his 40's, could be just me and my memory though). But he nailed the voice and personality I had in my head, so I am fine with the whole shaving off 10 years and giving him a bitchin' 'fro.

Much older, I pictured him in his 20s. Tyrion is more of a dick I imagined. As is Robert. I didn't like the way they told the story about the Hound. It was a lot cooler when he told her that story himself. Made it more threatening and gritty and shit. Also, the jousting scene with Loras Tyrell is important, but maybe that will be in the next episode.
