Watched my friend play Bioshock 2 for a while yesterday, completely lost all interest in the series. Way too fast paced to have atmosphere or be all thinky.

Also gave Halo a shot, and I simply cannot fathom why people thought it was a good game, since it's quite frankly fucking terrible.

Also played a bit of the Thief games and frankly, those are just not good games. Interesting and unique, yes. Good and well-executed? No.

Halo is definitely overrated. The third game is at least. Gears of War is much better.

There is an article on IGN that features gameplay of the new Bioshock and it sounds really interesting. I'll definitely pick the third one up as I really enjoyed the first two.

I really hope FEAR 3 is good. I loved the first but was a little dissapointed by the second.

@the FEAR 3 trailer, I guess that's the point man killing those guys. Nice, should be interesting. The plot of the first was excellent but the second was extremely weak and Extraction Point was just a waste of time. Interested to see where they go. FEAR 2 was pretty generic, I hope they get more creative but I read something saying they were going to have an emphasis on mech sequences, which made me say "oh holy christ no, they really managed to kill that franchise pretty quick."

I'm just hoping that the co-op doesn't ruin the single player campaign. That was probably the highlight of the series for me. The "generative scare" idea sounds promising though.

Duels Of The Planeswalkers is completely horribly unforgivably awful. Fuck this shit. Fuck it to death with a pointy stick.

I lost 2 matches in a row because it didn't let me activate abilities during combat WHAT THE FUCK YOU SOPPY CUNTS. In one game it just skipped my blocking phase after 2 seconds. I understand the need to keep the game flowing but to actually play magic they need to get confirmation for each phase.

Decided to do some placement matches last night in starcraft 2. I realised that I really do suck at the game, I usually do pretty good at the start of the game but I make the mistake of not attacking soon enough and getting turtled in for the rest of the game.
