Beat STALKER: Call of Pripyat. Plot was terrible, cutscenes were laughable, graphics a bit dated. The classic SoC gameplay is still there, and some things (such as the hotkeys) are improvements, but there are no new weapons or anything and I found the game lacking in depth and felt compelled to sink in no more than the maybe 8 hours necessary to complete the main plot and one or two sidequests. The supernatural elements were really weak and the scripting was completely terrible.
I'd like to point out again what an awesome game Shadow of Chernobyl was. A large game world, fully explorable. Oodles of atmosphere. Incredibly tense gunfights with sharp AI and great bullet physics. Generally well-implemented supernatural elements that when combined with the survival elements made for an incredibly tense and frequently quite scary experience. Awesome environments, such as Pripyat (best urban combat ever) and the ruined Bar level. I also loved finding random stashes and the little stories that came with them. Despite the bugs and colossal rough edges, I'd put it on my top 10 games of all time, no doubt.
