I wish they'd hurry up and show some elves, damn it! But yeah, that Orc is the best looking Orc I've seen in a game. Khajit don't look like push overs anymore. And judging by the concept art, even Argonians are going to look badass. (finally!)

But you know what really has me excited? Dwemer ruins being confirmed. Was not the most spine chilling moments in Morrowind those where you were deep underground and heard those gears in the background a-turning? :)

Dwemer ruins scared the fuck out of me. In fact, I refused to go into them unless I had to.

the architecture style of those ruins was very odd and bleak and really fit with morrowind so i wonder how it'll fit in skyrim. to me morrowind was just really bland, dark and brooding since it had the draw distance fog all the time, really brown colors etc. cyrodill was a lot more lush and vibrant and felt more like a real place since it had a lot of different areas with types of environments but I know most didn't like it (and for that i thought the ayleied ruins fit well since they went with pretty much anything and seemed fanciful). hopefully skyrim isn't just all mountains (for me that'd be boring as hell) and hopefully the ruins fit well, i remember them being slightly creepy in morrowind as well but with the technology now i bet they could be even creepier and more badass.

also bad news, i think i don't like Dead Money =( I've gotten all 3 of the dudes at the fountain and am going on to the rest of it but I don't really like the intense sneaking around and how the vending machines just give you food parts and whatnot. I have a shitload of coins but never really cared about my survival skill so it's just using stimpacks, those sierra madre martinis and whatever knives i can find. for a while it was fun but now it's starting to bug me just going around super slowly and killing the same enemies over and over. the ghoul dude is awesome but hopefully i start getting into it again because for the past hour of it or so i was really getting bored and eventually stopped.

I actually didn't like Dead Money until I got into the casino proper. Having finished it I really appreciate the storyline and will probably go back and replay it again with a different character.

alright I'll keep at it then and hopefully I'll agree with you. At the beginning of it I was into it because the concept was new but then it just became sneak around this villa with poison cloud and fight the same enemy over and over. gotta do it anyway in preparation for honest hearts i guess so i'll just power through it tonight and hopefully the actual casino rules.

Mmm, I liked it the second I started playing, but I think it all depends what you look for in a game...

This is a cool read for Elder Scrolls fans, and is more or less considered cannon.
They have artillery in the Elder Scrolls universe?

Pretty frustrated with the Witcher 2 save game import from W1. Keeps saying that it can't find any, when they are right there where they are supposed to be. A lotta people are having this problem apparently. And there's no way to manually select the saved games.

thats a huge fucking bummer, especially if you put 50+ hours into it (decided i'm not going to do the first one first, tbh i really just want to play the 2nd one soon and i'm sure i will be able to follow the story without having to cut out another 50 hours of game time i don't really have). I also heard in terms of that game that graphics can be weird in that they'll really slow down randomly sometimes and then if you reload it they'll fix themselves. I'm waiting for the final reviews to really get pumped even though I know I'll buy it but I'm hoping theres some info (spoiler free plz) that i can check out before i buy it on steam and jump into it; only for sure buying duke, dx;hr as of this summer.

also just got to the casino in dead money and yeah it is picking up, very glad i didn't stop.

For a company that is good at taking feedback and correcting problems, it's amazing how outright assbackwards Bethesda can be. "Companions will focus on quantity over quality" Why? I don't expect Bioware level companionship, but if they're going to be like Fallout 3 companions I'd sooner not have them at all.

Third post for epic nerd rage:

Attention game developers!
Easy setting should have EASY combat, in order to experience the story without dying frequently and having to replay things.

so considering as i don't consider myself a great player (almost NEVER play games on hard or anything above) i should definitely do easy? does it help if you take time to explore/gain bonuses and whatnot?

Alright, I finally got a silver sword, and now things are way better. I'm very much enjoying it, though the story is kind of hard to follow at moments.

also, LOL at the sex scenes in the game, they're like something you'd see on Starz at 2 am. hurray cgi nudity, amirite.
