Hey guys, since the guitar player's thread seems to have taken off, how about a gear thread? I'm curious to see what everyone else is using.
Post your guitars, amps, cabs etc... I'll post my setup in a day or two...

Got myself a cheap little setup...

Left Handed ESP Viper 50 with upgraded pickups to EMG81/85 and dunlop straplocks
Line 6 Spider II 15 Combo Amp
For strings I use DR's 10-52
Picks I switch between Tortex 1.0's and the Jazz III's
And for recording, I have a Line 6 GuitarPort + Rifftracker software (piece of shit lol)

That's about it really.

It's not much but it works for me. Starting on the left is a Washburn guitar that i had for travel one summer. I sold it afterwards. In the middle is my Ibanez SR405. I'ts a nice bass with a great feel and tone for the price. And on the right is my Jackson RR3. I love almost everything about it, the feel, tone, even how you have to sit in classical position with it. The one thing that throws me off from it is the lack of 24 frets. As a result I'm tempted to trade it in towards an Ibanez RG2550E or another Jackson with 24 frets.

Not pictured is my Marshall MG100dfx. It's a decent amp, many complain about the tone but I find thats only an issue on the lower models of the series. I hope to replace that some time soon as well.

Hey Bart, do you switch channels on your 5150 with the "amp ctrl" jack on the gt-6 and store it in patches? Use a bypassed amp preamp with a modual preamp for cleans? Or use entirely modulated preamps from the gt-6?

Yea it was the last time you guys were here, we were on right before QV , unfortunately that night our vocalist was sick which kinda sucked, i attempted to fill in vocals in some parts but after failing i just gave up and we played instrumental.

Hey I use the four cable method which puts my 5150 in the effects loop of the GT6. This enables me to use my 5150's external distortion -> apply any effects like wah, delay etc from the GT6->then I shoot it the result to the power amp..
For clean I use a Fender Tweed patch from the GT6.

a BOSS wah and a custom treblebooster

have a Dean ML with an EMG 85 and crank it away

Im running a Dot on Shaft Gothos(great guitar company, owner is an awesome dude) into a boss ME-20(used for Flanger/Chorus/Wah, because I like the wah, more then I like crybabys) then into a Kustom Quad 200 and into either a random 212 with celestion V30s, or a Mesa 412.

Main axe is an Ibanez SZ320, with a Bill Lawrence XL-500 in the bridge, and a Seymour Duncan Jazz in the neck. I also use a Charvel Randy Rhoades with an original Floyd Rose and Seymour Duncan Custom Custom in the bridge. Amp-wise, I've got a Crate Shockwave (350 watts) half-stack. I've got an Ibanez Wah pedal which I never use, and a Krank Distortius Maximus which I also rarely use.
