"Court in the Act was an instant click for me. It sounded like if Slayer wrote an album before Show No Mercy. I could listen to "Break Free" all day." - @Zephyrus

our previous highest scorer, candlemass' EPICUS, would only have scraped third on this list. guess that doesn't really mean anything aside from there being a smaller pool of albums to choose from here, just sayin'

i might put as many as four songs from COURT IN THE ACT in my NWOBHM top 10, such is its excellence. there isn't a weak song on it either.

5) Kill 'Em All by Metallica
Our brains are on fire with the feeling to kill!

"Kill Em All hits me right in my cheesy metalhead sweet spot. It's the perfect celebration of metal, with the exuberance and love of fun that is at the core of the vast majority of metal. It's not about politics over music like so much punk; even if a metal album has political lyrics, it's first and foremost about banging your head and getting that jolt of adrenaline, about screaming just for the joy of screaming. And Kill Em All is the perfect distillation of that essence, so it's the quintessential metal album as far as I'm concerned. " - @The Batlord
