Darkthrone - Total Death

Second favorite Darkthrone album for me.

The first five Marduk albums are all really worth checking out, not much like the absolute chore they put out in Panzer Division Marduk.

FaFtS is possibly my favorite BM album so it was definitely taking the top spot.

FaFtS is one of my most listened to metal albums and a top 3 of any genre for me. I never tire of it.

What are your favourite tracks on it?

Far Away From The Sun is a top tier black metal record, don't know if I'd go that far, but it's indubitably an all time great in metal. By the way, HoF is open again, wanna vote? http://ultimatemetal.com/forum/threads/ultimate-metal-hall-of-fame-april-2017-inductions.1132990/

Being a top tier black metal album puts it in the upper echelons of metal by default .

I might vote but I feel the HoF has run its course. I mean how many bands are you aiming to have in there? Kinda loses its meaning when it's a list of 200 + bands.

as much of a Megadave fan i am, there's just no way was that MD.45 album was going to make my list. Maybe top 15.

It's a rather unremarkable year for me. Discovered Crisis thanks to @HamburgerBoy posting them on here a few years ago but didn't necessarily expect them to come out on top. MD.45 is all about Lee Ving and his harmonica. I tend to be drawn to unusual stuff.

Then again, Metallica's effort seems pretty unusual when I try to compare it to anything else. It could almost make my list on the strength of 'The Outlaw Torn' alone if the rest of the album wasn't quite so... different.
