Did you read the interview?

I scanned it and bookmarked it for later.

Actually, I was a huge fan of her in the early nineties and her collaboration with the Trio Bulgarka on "The Sensual World" got me into Le Mystère des Voix Bulgares/The Bulgarian Voices "Angelite" (which I've seen live several times) way back then. However, over the years/decades, my interest in her music has decreased gradually, though I still appreciate her work. Nowadays, I rarely listen to her music. When I do, it's usually her most original/unconventional album "The Dreaming" (which is still my favourite), followed by "Hounds of Love", on which I like - vinyl-speaking - side B, thus the experimental concept-part "The Ninth Wave" - "Waking the Witch", "Jig of Life" and "Hello Earth" are some of my overall favourite songs by her -, much better than side A.

Well, cool!

I was just curious as I see the Kate Bush/Atrox comparison thrown around a lot.

Damn Ozz, you've changed. What happened to the Nazi rules you'd enforce in your poll threads? The one's where you know...people got DISQUALIFIED for not following the rules?

... he ended up disqualifying himself in one of those threads and realized changes needed to be made.

1 - Decapitated - Winds of Creation
2 - Deceased - Supernatural Addiction
3 - Destroyer 666 - Phoenix Rising
4 - Martyr - Warp Zone
5 - Vader - Litany
6 - Lykathea Aflame - Elvenfris
7 - Immolation - Close to a World Below
8 - Morbid Angel - Gateways to Annihilation
9 - Vital Remains - Dawn of the Apocalypse
10- Nile - Black Seeds of Vengeance

I wish Oracle Moon was on more lists, myself. I think I'm the only one to list it so far. Have you heard that album, @Phylactery ? Curious to know if it was at all in the running for you.

I have heard it yeah. It was a relatively recent discovery for me (about two years ago). I don't love it, but I admittedly haven't put as much time in with it as I should.

And I've said before that I consider "Return of the Banished" to be an overrated track from that album. I mean it's obviously great, but I prefer ever song I listed. It was my initial favourite iirc when I first heard Processiin many years ago but it didn't stick with me like the others.

10) Aelin - A Story About Destiny by Quicksand Dream

"Aelin was so distinct and original, yet still deeply rooted in traditional metal." - @CASSETTEISGOD

"Awsome epic adventure metal! This album always reminds me of 'A Wizard From Earthsea' for some reasons." - @Vilden

"Shit really wore out on me." - @rms

"I fucking love this album. I am friends with Goran on facebook. Super nice guy. I kinda agree with rms when he said that it wore out on him, but I blame the fact that I had it lodged in my car CD player for over a year and could not get it out. I still love to blast it though." - @Master_Yoda77

"i don't know what to think about quicksand dream, i'm not a fan as it is of the traditional heavy metal comeback, the only band i kind of like is ghost, they're pretty cool. but to me it all sounds really lame, but i've never been a fan of traditional heavy metal anyways" - @failure_of_threads

"Do you read the things you type before you post them?" - @Krow

Chosen by:
Vilden (#2)
Vegard Pompey (#2)
Master_Yoda77 (#4)
CASSETTEISGOD (#6)
Omni (#7)
Mort Divine (#9)

TOTAL POINTS: 36

... all in-crowd votes, that's why. Especially the V&V sisters.

And why are we counting jewdiths vote anyway? The only reason she even came back was because she couldn't handle lurking and watching us point out some of her ridiculous comments from the past. Shes stated numerous times that she doesn't want to be here and never plans on coming back. She even said she "made her password a random jumble and put a temporary email on her account" so that she couldn't access it anymore even if she wanted to. What a lying sack of shit:lol:

I've had this band recommended to me on several occasions by some who thought that the band's music would be for me. Never heard any of their work though. It's probably time to change that.

Well, I found it on Youtube. I'm currently listening to House of Wisdom. It's alright but compared to all the other stuff that came out this year, it's kind of underwhelming. Maybe it needs to grow on me a little more but I can't even see it beating some stuff that's even in my honorable mentions for this year like Dawn of Victory, Not Myself or Warp Zone which are far more distinctive albums.

I mean, to be completely honest here, even @no country for old wainds said that her vote wasn't going to count unless she posted her list herself and she did that so it's kind of hard to walk back on that now.

... i dont know if you missed the rest of my post where i pointed out exactly why yo.. uhum her vote, shouldn't count here. She is not a part of the community anymore(she even stated it herself as i pointed out). If she was/comes back then i would have no problem whatsoever with her voting. But otherwise this is another reason why these polls are complete bullshit imo.
