Cujo is quite good, and it's kind of unfair that it came out the same year as The Dead Zone and Christine as those two (understandably) overshadow it. There's some really good family drama going on that adds a bit of weight to the well-executed horror. One of Dee Wallace's finest, for sure.

1. The Dead Zone

One of The best King based films, in a year full of them. Walken being Walken, what’s not to love here?

2. Cujo

It’s no secret I love my big dogs like family and have in whatever incarnation they’ve existed in my family my whole life. For that reason this film scared the ever living fuck out of me as a child and even makes me feel uncomfortable as an adult. It ends up feeling a little too real and claustrophobic as fuck, something that’s caused me a few real life freak outs.

3. Videodrome

Avoid this and psychedelics. You will not be okay.

4. The Deadly Spawn

What can I say, I’m a sucker for ridiculous 80s monsters ripping people’s fucking faces off.

5. Christine

Did I mention I love ridiculous 80s films? This one is overshadowed by the other king on the list but I’d never turn it down on a Friday night. The soundtrack here is particularly great, just bought it on vinyl.

6. Microwave Massacre

Don’t like your wife’s cooking? Kill her then cook her and several others in a microwave because that’s obviously better. Goofy and just a little sleazy because why not?

7. The House on Sorority Row

This is actually a pretty decent slasher not involving a nigh unkillable juggernaut

8. A Blade in the Dark

Not my favorite giallo but hey an okay giallo is better than no giallo any day.

9. Sleepaway Camp

SJWs should love this movie right? T-girl goes on murder rampage. In today’s times she could have just cam whored then killed her self when she got old enough the hormone therapy wasn’t hiding she was becoming an old man. I only included this one because it’s memorable. I’m not a big fan of this series but this is at least the best entry.

There’s some Asian horror here I’ve watched like one time on YouTube. I’m sure some would be ranked if I could properly watch them

i wasn't planning to do this one as i've had an unusually busy month while also focusing on the two music polls, but i could probably manage a top 5:
1. the king of comedy (scorsese)
2. videodrome (cronenberg)
3. sans soleil (marker)
4. nostalghia (tarkovsky)
5. the dead zone (cronenberg)
