I'll swap it if the consensus is it shouldn't count, but I kinda think that's horseshit.

But then, I'm probably an outlier who thinks it's horseshit that Sabbath shouldn't count either. It feels less like an assessment of musical qualities and characteristics than an obligatory honor bestowed upon the Great Old Ones of heavy metal.

It does suck to leave Sabbath out of these games knowing there will probably never be a metal round for these early 70's years, or at least one worth doing. There aren't enough choices, so these albums just go unlisted anywhere.

Fun House is one of the few albums I own on every format and have had to replace a couple times in my life from wearing them out or losing them at parties, as far as important albums throughout my life this is right up there, loaded with good and bad memories, good and bad associations, a shitload of nostalgia and everything else in-between.

I'd be inclined to run with the heavy metal tag Kingdom Come has as primary on RYM, but maybe as a personal choice thing rather than outright exclusion. When we did 1972, some users listed Machine Head, while some left it out along with a couple of others. But we left things out because they have enough metal elements to be used in a 70s poll, not because they're "unambiguously metal".

Think @no country for old wainds or someone floated the idea that we'd do a top 20 metal albums of the 70s. There are plenty of choices for that in my books.
