What I think is; we played against china -weakest team in the group- with one forward who is terrible,loser hakan...Arghh I won't critise senol but again I think it was terrible...

First off, we played with two forwards, Hakan Sukur and Hasan Sas. Second, two attacking midfielders, Yýldýray Basturk and Emre Belozoglu, supported these two forwards. That makes a formidable attacking force. Third, Hakan is not a loser, if it were not for him, none of our players would have found space to work in. Replace Hakan with Ronaldo, and maybe (only maybe) you could make a one goal difference in these three matches. There are not too many strikers on this world who can wrestle with 3 defenders a match and manage to keep them busy. Plus, how many clear-cut chances were created for him upon the course of this tournament? And finally, the game was not terrible, neither were the tactics. We got what we wanted, and we took it easily. Everything aside, we're through to the next round and that is what matters.

Japan is indeed a formidable opponent, especially on home ground. However, we have dropped only 2 points in away matches during the course of the World Cup qualifiers. And we have the infamy of knocking out the host nations (hehee, Jan?). So we can say we do well away from home.

The ref is Collina. He's the best ref around and our national team (or any of our club teams) have never lost a single match that he was in charge of.

When you are professional, no crowd can really influence you. It's certain that they will not be able to influence a ref like Collina either. Japan's real home advantage vs Turkey comes from the factor of time differential between Europe and Japan.

But I believe also that japan crowd is not so agrresive like english or italian so the effect of the crowd maybe not so much as I expected.
