Easy metal? The riff to Black Sabbath is literally 3 notes...there's a lot of really simple metal out there...a lot of really complex stuff too.

Master of Puppets is extremely easy to play. Intro requires three power chords, palm muting, and maybe extremely basic alt picking. Obviously you wouldn't do the shred solo.

You could teach them Paradise City? The way I started on electric was playing all GnR stuff. I gradually worked my way through Slash's solos, and then onto Iron Maiden, and shredded pretty much from there. Still haven't got the hang of Symphony X yet though, Michael Romeo is crazy.

Easy metal...hmm, try Enter Sandman perhaps. Or Back in Black by AC/DC, and most of stuff by Judas Priest. Painkiller isn't too hard to play, and you could try Electric Eye too.
